K5ZD, N3BB, K7RL, W9RE LEAD US WRTC

There are two new leaders in the US WRTC standings after new numbers were added in from two different 2007 contests, with K5ZD now leading NA #1 and N3BB ahead in NA #3.

VE3DZ EDGES BACK AHEAD IN WRTC CANADA

After being in a dead-heat with VE3AT, Yuri Onipko has now gone ahead slightly in the battle for one team leader WRTC slot in the NA #5 region.

Meanwhile out West, VA7ST continues to be the clear leader in NA #6. Check where the Canadians stand in the battle for two WRTC spots with the radio-sport.net spreadsheets. NEW

UU0JM URGES REVIEW OF 2007 WPX CW DQ

Disqualified from the 2007 WPX CW Contest and booted from the qualifying for the 2010 World Radiosport Team Championships, Andy Kazantsev UU0JM tells radio-sport.net that he never got the chance to argue his case before being DQ'd. WRTC LEADERS STAY ON TOP IN EUROPE

While the WRTC qualifying standings were shaken up a bit by the addition of new scores from the 2007 WAE SSB, IARU and CQ WPX SSB Contests, the leaders held onto their top spots, as F6IFY (EU #1) OM2VL (EU #2) LY2CY (EU #3) UU4JMG (EU #4) and RW1AC (EU #5) are still at the top of their respective WRTC regions.

Check all the spreadsheets to see how LY2CY leads by only a handful of points and where all the other Europeans stand in the race for 21 team leader slots to WRTC 2010 in Russia. NEW

UA9CLB, JH4UYB, ZC4LI TOP ASIA WRTC

Results from three different 2007 contests did not alter the top spots in the three WRTC regions in Asia, as JH4UYB, UA9CLB and ZC4LI remain the leaders in the race for six team leader positions.

LU1FAM JOINS PY2NY AGAIN AT SA TOP

Using fresh results from three 2007 contests, PY2NY extended his lead in the Brazil only WRTC qualifying region, while LU1FAM moved back into the lead in SA #2 as South American hams battle for two team leader spots in the 2010 WRTC.

ZL1AIH, YD1JZ NEW OCEANIA LEADERS

Knocking VK7GN and 9M6XRO from the top spots in the two Oceania qualifying regions, ZL1AIH and YD1JZ are now the leaders for two spots in the 2010 World Radiosport Championships in Russia, as they used finishes in the 2007 WAE SSB, IARU and WPX SSB to move into first place.

WP3C STILL TOPS IN WRTC C.AMERICA

Withstanding a rush by HI3TEJ, WP3C continues to lead the World Radiosport Team Championship qualifying battle in Central America after the addition of results from three more 2007 contests.

WRTC AFRICA: EA9LZ BUILDS BIG LEAD

Using extra points from the WAE SSB and WPX SSB contests, EA9LZ strengthened his lead in the contest for one WRTC qualifying slot from Africa, as EA8MQ continues to trail in second place. NEW

SPONSORS LOOSEN WRTC MULTI RULES

Addressing complaints from a variety of operators, the Russian sponsors of the 2010 World Radiosport Team Championships have decided to allow more of those participating in a multi-operator contest effort to be eligible to use WRTC qualifying points from those contests. MORE

CONTEST DQ's END WRTC 2010 HOPES

A little noticed rule in qualifying for the World Radiosport Team Championships will keep at least five operators out of that competition, as the drive to catch cheaters will also mean excluding some WRTC veterans from the 2010 WRTC in Russia. NEW

The US and Canadian WRTC qualifying scores as calculated by radio-sport.net have been updated, with results from the 2008 NA Sprint CW and 2007 November Sweepstakes CW contests.

Each region has its own web page as well as separate spreadsheets that let you look at the scores of all contesters around the world.
