"It was a great pleasure for me to work from this good contest position as single op," said Ignotas, who made 3600 contacts with 982 prefixes.
"Good multipliers thanks to a lot of Europeans and good openings to USA," Ignotas told radio-sport.net, who said he made 861 QSO's on 40 meters, even with a temporary antenna due to recent damage at the D4C site.

In the SOAB Low Power category, the top score for now comes from Aruba as John Bayne KK9A has a strong lead, thanks to another solid performance from his P40A contest station.
"While I am quite happy with my score, had I managed my off times differently I could have done even better," Bayne said in his 3830.
The American claimed 8.5 million points, giving him an over two million point advantage on his nearest pursuer, Yuri Onipko VE3DZ/VP9.
"While many areas of the world experienced good conditions during this contest, propagation was poor from South America," Bayne said. "I really did not expect conditions to be so bad once the sun came up."
Here is the Top Ten World claimed in Single Operator Low Power:
In the World Assisted category, the leader is Mladen Bogdanov YU7NU, who operated YT5A to over 7 million points. LZ8A holds second at 6.2 million, with LU5DX third from LR4E at 5.6 million.
The difference for K1ZM was the extra contacts and mults he made on 80 meters, which just wasn't available to Street from his Florida QTH.
"I heard Jeff CQing there and working Europe for those crucial 6-pointers, something I was unable to do, or even consider doing," Street told radio-sport.net.

"Another fun WPX contest," Sawyer said on 3830, who felt that conditions were "okay."
"Not good, but not as bad as last year in my opinion," Sawyer said.
Sawyer was pressed only by Willie Baber WJ9B, who like K1TO saw the leader run up an advantage in European six pointers.

Marzilli told radio-sport.net that he decided to change his off time strategy.
"I learned in WPX (unless conditions are really bad) it pays to operate as much as possible the 1st day and take most of the off time the 2nd one," the Italian added.
Marzilli is about 300,000 points ahead of a closely packed group that includes Anti Hudanik HA3OV, Ranko Boca 4O3A, Rastislav Hrnko OM3BH and Tine Brajnik S50A.
"I see scores growing year by year" said Marzilli, " I feel the 8M mark can be easily broken from here in the following years just because of 3/6 pointers."

In Multi-Multi, it looks like Team DR1A is headed for a repeat victory, with 25 million points. LZ9W remains second at 20 million.
The multi-multi winner this year could be a repeat from 2007, as Team DR1A in Germany had a big score increase, claiming over 25 million points. LZ9W is second at 20 million.
If you want to pick a category for 2009, it might be M/M, which only attracted about a dozen entries from the entire world. The only US entry was NR4M, which claimed 17.4 million points, 5th place overall.
The log deadline did bring change in the Multi-Two ranks, as Team 3V8BB now has the edge on 6Y1V, 24.6 to 22.1 million.
If that holds up through log checks, that will deny Team 6Y1V the chance to win a WPX double in M/2 in both the CW and SSB legs.
The USA Multi-Two leader is KD4D, which rang up 14.7 million points, the 7th best claimed score in that category worldwide.
The US Multi-Single top score is from Team WE3C, which came close to breaking the US M/S record, totaling 10.3 million points, good for 7th in the world.
