After Five Years of Ham Radio Contest News, radio-sport.net Going QRT

*** UPDATE***
Radio-Sport.net will continue operations in 2013 under a new management and ownership team!

After over five years of bringing amateur radio contest news to the ham radio community, radio-sport.net, the web site produced by Jamie Dupree NS3T, will cease operations.

We would like to thank everyone who has contributed stories, pictures, tips and ideas to radio-sport.net, which went on line just before the Dayton Hamvention in May of 2007.

Also, thanks to those who advertised with radio-sport.net; good luck to you in your endeavors as well.

The decision was not an easy one to reach, but with an increasing work load in my real job as a reporter covering Congress and politics, and as a father with a wife and three small kids, there just isn’t time enough to dedicate to this work.

I still hope to contribute to the amateur radio community in some ways. This month marks 31 years since I received my novice ticket, and I still get a thrill every time I turn on the radio and hear “CQ contest” on the bands.
